Be Still and Know

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

“Be still and know that I am God.” Wow, not an easy task in the world today. It seems everyone is full steam ahead, plowing down anything and everything in the way. With the constant go, go, go mentality, it is easy to forget Who should be at the forefront of our lives. It is easy to get wrapped up in the everyday mundane tasks and not put our priorities in order.

As Sonia and I begin our foray into this new venture of the blogging world, the one thing we both said from the start is we wanted to incorporate our personal faiths and put them at the forefront. We were both raised in strong Christian environments, and to this day I proudly practice Catholicism, Sonia proudly practices Christianity. Our faiths are continuing to evolve as we do, and we both believe that our walk with Christ is an ongoing journey. We wanted this blog to serve others like us who place their faith at the center of their lives, while still trying to incorporate all of the fun, amazing things that our world has to offer, but through the lens of love, hope, and happiness.

As time unfolds and as our words reach you, we hope that we can provide you with different opportunities to strengthen your faith. We hope that we are able to help you on your journey with God by offering an inspiring word, a listening ear, or maybe suggestions for items or activities that will help you and your family grow your spirituality.

If you’ve been away from God recently, maybe distracted by all the happenings in the world, we invite you to start making your way back home. We know that there will be stumbles along the way, but that’s true for us all. God is always there to pick us back up, and those who truly want us to succeed here on earth, will be offering support. Sonia and I hope you might find us as another support system. And we hope that you can take the time to be still, to know God, and in in this world full of noise, always let love be louder.
